A single piece of driftwood, split and hollowed by years, stood up against a plain pale background and lit so that every fibre reads. In deep black-and-white it stops being a piece of dead wood and becomes almost figurative: a standing form, weathered to the grain.
It is a study in texture and patience. The longer you look, the more it gives: the bound waist, the torn crown, the small bright thread of wire holding it together.
Archival print, signed and numbered from an edition of 100, framed in a slim black moulding under glass. A certificate of authenticity is included.
